First Horizon HSA a Good Match for Bluegrass Family Health HDHP
OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Oct. 1, 2008 -- First
Horizon Msaver Inc. announced today that it has signed a marketing and services
agreement to assist in the sale of qualified High Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs)
and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) for agents and brokers of Bluegrass Family Health,
a Kentucky-based not-for-profit health insurance company that has recently entered
the Nashville and Knoxville areas of Tennessee.
Bluegrass Family Health markets HDHPs in Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana.
HSA-qualified health plans give individual account holders and employees great
control over their healthcare expenses by combining a lower-premium health plan
with a tax-advantaged HSA.
Under the First Horizon Msaver program, individuals who purchase a Bluegrass
Family Health HSA-qualified HDHP will be able to take advantage of innovative
features and technology that make opening and funding HSAs faster and more
